Certificates of Insurance

A Certificate of Insurance (COI) is the document that proves you have coverage. It is what you provide to your venue to satisfy their insurance requirements.

What is a Certificate of Insurance?

A COI is a standardized document that summarizes your insurance coverage. It shows the types of coverage you have, the policy limits, the effective dates, and any parties listed as additional insureds.

What Your Certificate Shows

  • Named Insured (you or your organization)
  • Coverage types and limits
  • Policy effective dates
  • Additional Insured parties (your venue)
  • Insurance company information

When Will I Receive My Certificate?

Certificates are issued after coverage is confirmed. Standard processing time is 24-48 hours. If your venue has specific wording requirements, allow time for our team to verify the certificate matches their needs.

Certificate Delivery Options

Certificates can be delivered via email (PDF) or sent directly to your venue. Indicate your preference when requesting coverage.

Requesting Changes to Your Certificate

If you need to add additional insureds, correct information, or update wording after your certificate has been issued, contact us with your reference ID and the specific changes needed.

Before asking for proof, confirm who must be listed, which dates must appear, whether additional insured or waiver wording is required, and whether vendors, alcohol providers, or production contractors need their own evidence of coverage. That is the difference between a certificate that looks complete and a certificate the venue will actually approve.
